In November of 1966, the first reported sightings of the Mothman began to trickle in from parts of West Virginia. The general description of the creature was humanoid in nature, but said to possess wings and red glowing eyes! Some encounters were more bizarre than others and over the next year, more and more residents would attribute strange happenings in the region to the Mothman.
This list of bizarre happenings runs the gamut; from UFOs, to lost dogs, to men-in-black. However, the most famous and tragic event occurred on the evening of December 15, 1967. It was rush hour and the Silver Bridge, which spanned the Ohio River, was full of motorists. At once, the the bridge began to violently shutter and with a horrific sound collapsed into the water below; taking with it 46 lives. Today, some people believe the Mothman sightings were a warning of the impending disaster.
Whether you're a winged creature of the night or an average human, you can show your appreciation for the spookiest lepidopteran around with the official Cryptozoology Tracking Society™ Mothman glow-in-the-dark symbol enamel pin!

PIN CARE/USE
***** PLEASE NOTE: Maiden Voyage Clothing Co. does not offer refunds or exchanges for items lost or damaged after purchase.
* All kinds of pins have a tendency to wiggle loose from their backers, especially if the item the pin is on moves around a lot (like a bag, backpack, etc.) To protect from accidental loss or damage from use, we highly recommend investing in locking pin-backs that are readily available on Amazon.com or Ebay.com.
* Also, be aware of what type of items you place your pin on. Placing your pin on items such as bags, purses and backpacks will greatly increase the chances of losing or damaging your pin than placing it on a stationary item, such as a hat, shirt or jacket lapel. When wearing your pin, we recommend it be placed so that the wearer can remain vigilant of it. We also highly recommend removing your pin after each use, to keep it nice looking (and to avoid accidentally getting it into the washing machine, loose, damaged, etc.) Maiden Voyage Clothing Co. cannot be held responsible for damages or loss resulting from misuse of pins.
